How do you feel about visiting someone in the hospital? It doesn't bother me, but my s/o HATES it!

Fortunately I only had to visit someone in the hospital only twice in my lifetime.I do not like visiting the hospital and have not ever stayed there myself.

I work in a hospital so it wouldn't bother me at all. I remember being a patient and wanting so bad for someone to come and just visit me and so I make it a point to always visit people I know who are in the hospital.

It depends why they are there. I don't mind going to the hospital to visit people but I usually don't stay very long because I feel bad for cutting into their sleep time. lol. If they are really really sick I feel sad :( but I still like to visit them because hopefully it makes them feel better.

Not my favorite place to visit, but I do it for the patient, not me. It's not much fun to be couped-up in a small place for any amount of time.

For years, in part out of a sense of duty, I paid short visits to people who were stuck in the hospital. I did not know for sure what good it did until I landed there myself.

I've visited many family and friend in the hospital ... It isn't a pleasant experience; I don't really ENJOY doing it ; BUT think ablout the patients who are there , not in their homes , no real home conviences or the people that they love and care about most of the time .... It does not bother me as I know that I enjoyed having visitors when I was in the hospital .. +5

When I was a patient, 3 things I dread. 1. People visit because they are bored and curious of what kind of class room you'er stay at. 2. People who burn time at your side when I AM too sick to talk to them. 3. People who talks about money and what I should do and not to do to be healthy like them. But for those who came and made me laugh at the lighter sides of things - I thank them and appreciate it very much- would return that favor anytime..

It's something that most of us have to do at some point but I'm terrified of catching something and I usually get sick myself and have to leave. I even faint at the vets office. Just how I am:(

Does your s/o not like visiting people they know, or do they not like visiting people that you are the one closer to? I don't like going to hospitals because they remind me having to wait around for hours on end.

Whenever I go to a hospital or doctor's office, I start feeling ILL??? Go figure, maybe there allergic to Florescent lighting like I am???
