Are the medical issues with tattoos as prevalent as people make them seem, or are they taking a small statistic and blowing it out of proportion?

    What medical issues? As long as you go to someone that has a good, clean, well known business, and follow your instructions for caring for them afterwards, what would be the problem?

    Staph infections are a continuing problem in the tatoo industry. As we encounter more and more resistant staph, it will become more prevalent and more serious.
    Proper sanitation is essential when you get a tatoo.

    Did you recently read an article about this? Because I've never known there to be an outcry against tattoos done by professionals in sanitary conditions. Some people have that antiquated idea of the creepy needle scratcher that pours whiskey on your skin before giving you an "Fredom or Die" banner, but most people realize that modern tattooing is usually very safe when done by professionals.
