    Here's my attempt/guess. If 0.1 ml has 56 colonies, then 1.0 ml has 560. The 0.000001 dilution plate is one one-millionth the concentration of the original. So the original has one million times more. So 560 million colony forming units per milliliter in the original sample. Do you agree?
