Doubtfull, any set can get a "screen burn" from an image left still on the screen for too long. What you are seeing is an area that has recieved more use and decayed the screen surface. Newer sets have their own issues as plasma sets will show burn in after as little as an hour & if the image is bright enough it can break the panel itself. All of the newer game systems have removed the fixed border and score box (remember the original NES??) as this is the main cause of burnin.
Just use common sense, don't leave an image on the screen for more than a few minuits - either change the channel or shut the set off if you cannot save the game at that point
How can the image on a Mitsubishi VS-A50 be changed from full-screen to normal landscape (and without the remote)?
