  • Seriously? I'm an atheist and this question is simply unimaginitive. If you're going to restate the argument that's been made probably over one million times don't copy it from South Park.
  • as a Christian, i don't "expect" anything from you, or anyone else, in the matters of faith. you either believe, or you don't, it's perfectly OK with me
  • Hey, if you don't want to believe in God, nothing anybody is going to do or say is going to make you do it. You cannot put God in a test tube, which apparently is what you're trying to do. There are some things that happen that have no immediate scientific explanation. In religious terms these are called miracles. You can choose to believe (place faith in) the idea that there's an explanation that science has not yet found, or you can choose to believe (place faith in) the idea that God was in it after all. Here's an example. For years archeologists scoffed at the idea that there was actually a Jericho, yet a few years ago they found a city whose walls actually fell outward, and that was indeed the ancient city of Jericho. Does it prove God exists? No. Does it validate an ancient story from the old testament? Yes.
  • For one not all christians don't expect atheist to believe I don't care if you belive or not what matter is that I believe. What I don't like is people mocking us like what your doing now grow up. Also if you are gonna mock us why don't you use your own material and not steal it from Richard Dawkins...
  • Dear Hayzen, there is no commandment in the Bible to expect Atheists to believe there is a God without proof. There is not one commandment even close to that. We are commanded to be witnesses to Christ and to share our testimonies. 'You will be his witness to all men of what you have seen and heard.''This Good News of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.' We are to love God first, love our neighbour second. 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these' It is for you and you alone to decide if you are to believe the testimonies, to believe that God exists, to believe in whether the stories in the Bible are true, to believe that love is the most important thing to follow in life, to have faith beyond just what is provable and observable. We Christians are but guides for your journey to make that decision. Wisdom shouts at those who seek God. "Wisdom calls aloud in the street, she raises her voice in the public squares" Proverbs 1 v 20 If you are absolutley and earnestly seeking God, with an open mind, you will find Him. However if it is only your own terms and conditions, then I pray God will have the grace to grant them. The other day I read one story and heard another. The first was about a man who was beaten up so badly in his head that some of his skull had to be removed. There is a picture of him in the newspaper. They caught the perpetrators but there was "insufficient evidence to prosecute". The second was about a lady who was raped by a man outside a nightclub. He too was arrested. The evidence clearly pointed to a violent assault against her. There was "insufficient evidence to prosecute". Are we to believe the man was not beaten up and the woman was not raped as there was insufficient proof? No, the 'system' makes it so. The 'system' of needing sufficient proof that something happened is the problem. If we define the terms and conditions for proof so limited, the truth that stares us in the face becomes a lie. Keep searching with an utterly open heart and mind and you will find the truth. 'So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.' In Jesus name.
  • Christians do not want to believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster. They, like you, want to believe in the all powerful and loving God, as we all want to be loved and we all know that God made us and God loves us, every single person on earth. Once we have established that we are prepared to believe then we see how He is revealed through the scriptures and believe. God has chosen to reveal Himself to everyone. Those that reject Him reject Him on their terms, not His.
  • Ramen!
  • It's called science, reason, and logic. While it's not possible to offer proof, evidence does exist. However, many (not saying all) atheists seem to prefer to remain in relative ignorance, illogic, and unreason.   You can't educate people who prefer ignorance.
  • I would hope that they don't expect atheists to believe god exists, and I hope they themselves don't honestly believe in that rubbish. In order to believe in the Christian god, you have to deny (or most have to deny)that we are animals that evolved, that the fossil records are really there from animals that became us, that some people aren't "put on earth to fulfill an amazing plan". They would have to deny that there is a soul, that they will live forever, that all this time and their family and their friends believe in something that isn't physically possible. I think changing a belief that plays such a large roll in your life is such a tremendous paradigm shift that leaving the idea of a God, is simply to hard to do overnight, and from one argument.
