Help answer this question below.
Make sure if you place references they know in advance. Call or e-mail them. Personally, I would wait until asked for. Even with first job. Unless, you can ask the references to write you a letter of recommendation or email one to you, for the services, work, or knowledge you have gained while around them. That would be your best bet. They (employer) have all the positive in their hands, at that time, and you are a leg-up on others. A letter of recommendation can be a powerful asset. No matter if it is your first job, or 50th.
Just make sure they are willing, and DO NOT HAVE THEM MAKE UP THINGS ABOUT YOU THAT ARE GOOD......STRAIGHT POSTIVE TALK.
One last thing.............if you go for an interview, act like it is a conversation, not a death sentence. Converse. Ask a few questions, find out as much as possible about them. However, to do act over-friendly. They are not your friend, a potential employer. If you talk and act very friendly, they may think all you do is talk and no work. HOPE THIS HELPS, FROM VETERAN WORKER, SEEKING JOB, BEEN THERE, DONE THAT!
What position are you applying for? If in that generalized area, I would incorporate the security guard area, using an action packed verb to describe. Build yourself...........self yourself........you are the only one that will.
could do but is better just to go a gym find the steriod dealer and buy you'll be sure to get job offer in day or 2
