• i dont know that they werent designed for that - the ass is really close to the vagina, and the rectum is quite resistant to moderate friction, seems rather too convenient to me that after millions of years of evolution that this exists, and feels good for both partners! before modern contraception this was probably an easy way for a woman to keep her man happy without having to get pregnant (which is quite alot more work/energy for the woman in the long run!! :)

• Women have been using anal sex as a way to get around being a virgin at marriage for a long long time. Not my cup of tea, but each to their own. The body is an amazing thing. In terms of design, I was referring to biological function relating to intestinal movement as per the question - as in your guts are for food, not a comment on what people think is OK. The intestines are meant to move a certain way - but that doesn't mean a person can't be innovative! It hurts me too much to do it, but I do hear that others enjoy it and I pass no judgment on that.
