  • your home page writing appears to be American English, so, i'll presume you mean the US civil war, although, i bet that every spec of land in the world has seen bloodshed from its own civil war. as for the us civil war, almost entirely in the southern states, disproportionately virginia. of course, the border states also had disproportionate action. the north only saw the invasion that led to the battle at gettysburg. i still don't know why lee didn't go in and capture washington dc in the first months of the war.
