I remember ice cream, fruits and vegetables, hot dogs, and knife sharpening.

The milk man. My mother used to buy milk in bottles from him. Also, the "Bread Man". He worked for a bakery in town, and every morning walked the streets with a sack full of hot, oven freach, bread.

I only remember the ice cream man. We didn't have one in our neighborhood. I grew up in a VERY small town. But, when we were at friend's or family's house who lived in a bigger town or city, we were all excited to get some ice cream from the ice cream man!

The Jewel Tea man used to drive by with with everything from coffee, tea, baking powder and other grocery items to cleaning supplies, linens, cookware and china. Mom used to buy an aluminum tumbler from him every month, then she packaged them and gave them out for Christmas presents.

Right now they have lot's of corn (on the cob) trucks in the rio grande valley, tx.

We once had a Hotdog vender who rode a small bike type of machine! That was a LONG time ago tho!

Right now, it is Schwan's. They sell food (meat, frozen) house to house.
