When I clip my fingernails and they fall to the floor my dog loves to come running to eat my fingernail clippings. Is it harmful for a dog to eat fingernail clippings?

Thanks. I've seen it spelled a few times and I own one. But that just happened to be a lucky guess that time. If I was to try it again without the word in front of me it might look like a word from a Dr. Suess book. LOL

Oh wonderful. Downrate me because I happen to tell the TRUTH of what those do b/c I've seen splinters in throats before in the VETERINARY CLINIC!!! Your clippings would do the same thing b/c they're sharp JUST like bones and splinters.

Whenever I write an answer or comment, I'm writing to the asker and the general audience. I didn't specify who I was addressing my comment to. In writing it would be expected that I was addressing whomever was responsible for downrating me without a name (since I don't know who did).

Part of that comment WAS to you though, as I did say "Your clippings" and the "!!!" wasn't intended as yelling either...just an emphasis on where my information comes from. This is also to you: Why not clip your nails over a garbage instead of the carpet? That would prevent any accidents and huge vet bills if something tears inside your dog.
