No, it's vacuous and pointless, people put too much stock in appearance over personality, the modelling industry reinforces this attitude, and it sickens me.
I don't see what skill is required to have your photo taken. If you're graced with good looks, and keep your self in good shape, good for you. But to make all that money for what, to me amounts to posing...heck...go to any club on the weekend and you'll see all kinds of 'models'.
Not really, because this is an industry of disposable fashion, with disposable persons (models and designers) and with unhealthy lifestyle..
If someday they change some standards, maybe my thinks may change..
Yes.I take it seriously.Makes a lot of money for everyone right from the models to the companies they model for.The agencies,the advertisers,the public and so on.+
No. I've never really understood why it even is an industry. I think life would continue unharmed if the whole modeling industry evaporated.
Yes !! i was a shoe model for nearly 2 years ,,, hands as well,liked doing it very much ! but was away from home to much ,,,,and the moneys not as good as people think,,,,
