no..you need a high school diploma..you can take classes online or in person at a real estate school..you take two exams..one to pass the class and another to go through the state so they recognize you as an agent..good luck!!

In most states you need to go to real estate school and take a test. The school is usually between 75 and 100 hours. You actually have to take several tests usually.
It's not college, it's real estate school. Some colleges may offer courses but no college degree is required.

No, but you need to take classes specifically geared to real-estate, take a test to get your license, and now, I believe, most state licenses (at least in Indiana) require a minimum of continuing education in the subject.

  • No, but getting a real estate license and passing the test requires a lot of learning, memorizing and it is only the beginning of being successful. The real work starts after you pass. Good luck.

Not that I know of, but I'm sure it would help. Most people would like to get help from someone with college background (assuming that whoever is helping them has earned osmething form there) or lots of exprience (which can prove to be more important then a college background). So without going to college you'd have to work extreamly hard at forming a good resume and making a name for yourself.

I believe there are classes you can take to just help you learn the facts for the test/licence.

NO, but read on my friend....
My further comments are relating to my own experience at OREA College in Ontario, Canada ONLY.
You need about 5000$(Fees,Books,Travel,Hotels)and about a year off to finish your courses.
The reason is that there are waiting lists and not enough classrooms or instructors. I suppose if you plan it right you can do it on your time off.
When you finish and pass your first/second/third phase of courses you have to wait and enroll in the next one and so on, then wait for you results and enroll in the next one etc...
It is not easy, but if you apply yourself, you can do it.

Not in Maryland, you just need a Real Estate Agent's license. Get that by taking real estate classes. Not sure how long the classes are/last for.
