Herbert Hoover and his Republican minions, henchmen and cronies, who engineered & masterminded the Gawd-damned thing.

- Hoover was doing his best to get us out of the Great Depression. That was the problem. He sinceley believed that governemnt action could end recessions and depressions. In the process, he CAUSED it.
  
  I agree that Hoover was to blame, but not that it was his evil intent.
