  • All smoke is poison. The more you poison yourself, the sicker you will become.
  • The body has a threshold to toxicity, and it is trying to show you,the best it can, to cut back,or quit. This is a good sign because the body's natural instinct to remain healthy. Many people never get to this awareness,so you are considered fortunate.
  • A cigarette contains about 4000 chemicals, many of which are poisonous. Some of the worst ones are: * Nicotine: a deadly poison * Arsenic: used in rat poison * Methane: a component of rocket fuel * Ammonia: found in floor cleaner * Cadmium: used in batteries * Carbon Monoxide: part of car exhaust * Formaldehyde: used to preserve body tissue * Butane: lighter fluid * Hydrogen Cyanide: the poison used in gas chambers Every time you inhale smoke from a cigarette, small amounts of these chemicals get into your blood through your lungs. http://www.youngwomenshealth.org/smokeinfo.html
  • You ought to know this! :) It is toxic/poison to everyone. Too much nicotine raises your blood pressure, upsets your stomach and can cause alot of other problems.
  • Hi friends.... i do agree that smoke is injurious for health... i know the active/passive smoking, but then is cigarette smoking is the only thing that is polluting the environment or harming your life?? Think on it, if u say "Quit Smoking" then the indirect smoking you are commiting should also be quitted... What i mean, stop using vehicles polluting the environment, stop using deisel/petrol running vehicles - trains, bus, car... Say no to wars, the army, millitary, navy ask them to quit wars, destroy all weapons causing pollution, stop the factories causing pollution... stop cooking food, its also an indirect smoking... go for the RAW.... My dear frnds if you say "Quit smoking" then before saying you should also think for other things tht does matter....... GDG
  • MUDTech- No I didn't know a cracker had poision in it. If they do, which I doubt, it is nothing compared to cigarettes. Whoever told you that was at the least misrepresenting the facts, and at the most flat out lying. GagzDaGr8 - You make a good point. All these pollutants in our lives should be "quit" for our health. But smoking much easier to quit than driving a car. I would say if you are a smoker, start with quitting that, then work on changing how the world runs. :)
