Yes, that is why where i grew up it takes two officers to handle one traffic stop and they walk to your car with their hand on their gun.

No normal person in their right mind would say no to your question. Fear is what keeps the police on their toes. Always on the defensive. The police are human just like everyone else. Being a police officer is a job not everyone is qualified for. there is always danger, but officers learn the safety measures to take, while in and out of uniform.

They sure did a piss-poor job at Columbine, scared of those 2 kids. But to be afraid of being followed and retaliation, I've seen decent cops and their families try to take a lot of precautions. I've also seen cops with the macho attitude, 'Make my day,' and are waiting for the chance to take them on later. +5
