How long does a landlord have in Illinois to bring action in court to collect rent for the remaining term on a lease if I moved out before the lease was over and didn't pay for the 2 months that I didn't live there? I gave one month's notice before moving

    The statute of limitations for contracts is 10 years in Illinois.
