If the priest doesn't give you a penance during Confession, say he forgot or he thinks that you don't need one for what you have done, do you ask him about it or do you forget about it and do nothing afterwards?

I think many churches and/or preists have come to use a standard prayer to be said as the "typical" penance these days. More than likely, the preist would say to continue to speak to God and pray for your sins if you asked him about it. I would just make sure to say a prayer as you leave the church if he did not give me a particular penance.
