Are street-gangs a form of population control? If their are opposing gangs of the same race that kill each other than aren't they just killing themselves? Lowering the population of their race by increasing their mortality rate? (2009-09-07)

Street gangs do not care about collateral damage. They take out a LOT more than rival gang members.

yep, you're right. depending on your philosophy, it's either population control by the man in charge (presumably barack obama) or it is survival of the fittest.

what it they're killing people of other races. i don't think gang violence is about race. i mean, no matter how you look at it, any kind of murder is population control.
