I recently joined Big Brothers/Big Sisters so I could assist a kid with a muscular disorder at school.
At the grocery store this morning I offered to take an item down from a higher shelf that an elderly woman was eyeballing, and didn't seem to want to ask for help.
She was very grateful.
I invented a garment for sick infants and children that holds feeding tubes and intravenous lines so they are not accidently pulled out. This I did in memory of my baby Grandson who died at the age of 7months with cancer. I'm still trying to find an affordable manufacturer, and I finally got my patent. Kathleen
You need to turn off those caps and do the rest of us your good deed.
when i was born...my mother had to be sewn up for a perineal rupture...
Every day I show up for work I do a good deed, or an enabling one. The govt takes nearly half of earnings in taxes overt and hidden, and social spending in this country now amounts to $14,500 per actual taxpayer. Corporate as well as individual taxes pick up the burden.
Last Friday, a gal was jogging past me on my walk and she dropped some money, so I hollered at her and gave it back.
besides "tipping" the gal who made my sandwich, I donated some oak firewood to a low income family of 5.
Every DAy!! I make it a point to do something special on everydAY. I have seen "what comes around goes around," HAPPEN WAAAYYY to many times!!!!
I helped my friend build a small tree top house for his kids. They love the view from our there!
Just this morning, cruising the town. I saw that Mrs. Morgan was out of town, and her stairs are in need of repair. No one is around to do it since her husband passed a few years back. I saw it, got on the CB to announce a project for us retirees to get done. Within minutes, a convoy of pickup trucks came to her block oaded with more than enough supplies to get the job done. We took down the steps, and put up new steps with a larger stoop area. She's due back tomorrow, and will she be surprised. Or maybe not, this is a regular thing to do around here. Help neighbors just to help because that is what good neighbors do to help each other. Vern pointed out that Ms. Madison's fence is in need of mending. Will stay tuned to CB to make sure to be included on that fun project!
Removed myself from eye sight.Happens quite frequantly.lol

Drove my friend to the dentist because she has a vision problem, and can not drive any more.
It was like about a year. She has arranged the "official" transportation to take her to the Dr. and does not need my help.
When the other single girl friend needed help to take her to the Urgent Care we were out of town. This was this last July. She knows we WOULD help for sure.
a few week-ends back, i helped an elderly lady find a product she was looking for at the walmart because the walmart employee just said over there and pointed. i watched the poor dear try to locate but she was having trouble. it was a very tiny box on the bottom shelf.. +5
This person just wanted somebody to listen to her and my ear just happened to be open for business.
