None. Women have rights in the USA.

None.
-
I don't believe any of them do.
-
I am fairly sure such archaic thinking as that has been ousted in the States.
-
I don't think there are states in the USA that consider women as property. Women have more rights in the US, more than we've ever had before.

Women are no longer chattel, given the rights that they have today, but the idea of women being chattel is still around, judging by how legal cases are judged: http://happyfeminist.typepad.com/happyfeminist/2006/10/maryland_court_.html

The state of ignorance?

There is no state that considers a women to be chattel, though some people may. They tend to be poorly educated, so, sadly, that means you can usually find that type of thinking in the poorer parts of the country, where people cannot afford an education like some of us are lucky enough to.

Why? Are you looking to purchase one?

I think any state where there are men who are controlling, obsessive jerks. These kind of men seem to believe that we are living in the "olden times".
-
None, because women have rights all throughout the USA.

I heard last year as I walked into the doctor's office on the news that there are 6 states in the USA that women are considered property. Unfornately when they were naming them I didn't get to hear what states they were. If a women should be divorce by her husband she cannot claim anything. Property can't claim property.

Nevada, short term rentals only.

Smart aleck answer: Women own men in all 50 states. They just let us think we are in charge once in a while. My wife let me borrow the pants to wear just last weekend. Actual answer: It is not legal for one human being to own another in any US state.

None. But that is a relatively recent change. For a long time in America, as in the world at large, women were considered the property of their husbands or fathers. That was a terrible thing, but to be fair you have to realize that there were other legal rights in place to conpensate. Although women had no legal rights as individuals there were laws in place to protect them from being mistreated. One could not abandon one's wife and leave her penniless. Inheritance laws were differant as well. So it would be wrong to say that women were property in the same sense as inanimate objects. The lineup went something like this: Chattel, animals, land, women, men. At any rate, women have been on equal footing, at lest from a legal perspective, for some 80 years now. As a practical matter, they are still catching up, with no help from certain retarded segments of society.

None. Unless you live in some religious type cult which violates every law this country has.

I heard this info on CNN in a doctors office last year and can't remember the states. I think check with them

I understand that women were called "chattel" in Colorado until recently (late 20th century). Can you give me the details and date the word was removed from property laws in Colorado and other states?
