Help answer this question below.
We do not know the name of this God. It has never been revealed to us. Perhaps it is not something we need to know for our Exaltation. But we believe this council did take place.
Joseph Fielding Smith has suggested the head of the Gods was none other than Eloheim. Which certainly fits with the scriptures.
I do not recall the Church actually giving an official name to this head of the Gods. But by the description given by Joseph, I suspect it was Eloheim, the Father of Jesus Christ...Later
I just got done reading this. I am sorry, he babbles on and on. Not really saying much.
Elohim - our Father.
Deuteronomy 5:6-7 (New International Version)
6 "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.
7 "You shall have no other gods before [a] me.
Jeremiah 13:9-11 (New International Version)
9 "This is what the LORD says: 'In the same way I will ruin the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem. 10 These wicked people, who refuse to listen to my words, who follow the stubbornness of their hearts and go after other gods to serve and worship them, will be like this belt—completely useless! 11 For as a belt is bound around a man's waist, so I bound the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah to me,' declares the LORD, 'to be my people for my renown and praise and honor. But they have not listened.'
Deuteronomy 8:18-20 (New International Version)
18 But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.
19 If you ever forget the LORD your God and follow other gods and worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely be destroyed. 20 Like the nations the LORD destroyed before you, so you will be destroyed for not obeying the LORD your God.

You're reading In The King Follett discourse Joseph Smith said, "In the beginning, the head of the Gods called a council of the Gods . . ." Who is this "head of the Gods" Joseph Smith didn't correlate this deity with any specific God in his discourse. Thanks.
