You're reading Why is one of the tennis stadiums at the National Tennis Center in New York named "Louis Armstrong" stadium? Did they run out of people with connections to tennis to name it after?

Of course he was. He was the 1968 US Open Champion (among other things). He even had a signature-style racket that was very popular in the 70.
But more importantly, why would you even try to answer (if you call that an answer) this question if you have so little knowledge about the subject at hand? It just wastes everyone's time.
