Yes. It's a lot of fun, but I wouldn't want to shoot it too many times because it's not exactly the most comfortable thing in the world to shoot.
It's one of a few revolvers which interest me a great deal. I am planning soon to get one, duke it up with a nice hunting scope and a shoulder rig, also I already have a S&W 629 (Classic Hunter) .44 mag done the same way. Both are for trolling about in bear country. Right now I have some stripped AR receivers which are in need of my first attention, when I get those built I'm going after my beastly revolver. The .500 S&W is massive! As far as the pain, I live for it, I have a lot of experience with a .454 Cassull and I'm betting I can get excellent accuracy from the big Smitty with a good Nikon scope and proper magna porting. Can't wait.

it's a beast. and your right, you can't shoot it too much without your wrist starting to hurt. it's really fun though, not that accurate because of the kick
