• Poly by Nirvana
• The Dillinger Escape Plan - Irony is a Dead Scene. 4 of the most chaotic intense songs I've ever heard.
• Star Spangled Banner.
• There is this song by Jann Arden that sticks in my mind it's called "Insensitve".
• My Immortal-Evanescence
• redemption song-bob marley. imagine-john lennon.
• "My Immortal" by Evanescence. The lead singer (Amy Lee) wrote the lyrics to her deceased daughter. She has cried while performing it. I'm so tired of being here Suppressed by all my childish fears And if you have to leave I wish that you would just leave 'Cause your presence still lingers here And it won't leave me alone These wounds won't seem to heal This pain is just too real There's just too much that time cannot erase [Chorus:] When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears And I held your hand through all of these years But you still have All of me You used to captivate me By your resonating light Now I'm bound by the life you left behind Your face it haunts My once pleasant dreams Your voice it chased away All the sanity in me These wounds won't seem to heal This pain is just too real There's just too much that time cannot erase [Chorus] I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone But though you're still with me I've been alone all along [Chorus] (Lyrics copied from: http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/evanescence/myimmortal.html )

• Requim for a dream by clint mansell. its from the requim for a dream soundtrack and its classical but it is truely intesne
• This one- even though I'm not a huge simpleplan fan this one really rings true for me- especially the music video. My dad's friend died because of a drunk driver- his two year old watched (from the back seat) his father and a family friend die in the front seat a few minutes or so after the initialial collision. Anyway please listen... point is just dont drink and drive- it only takes a little more inconvienence to call a cab or something- you don't have risk other's lives.
• Crosby Stills Nash & Young - Find The Cost Of Freedom Lyrics Daylight again, following me to bed I think about a hundred years ago, how my fathers bled I think I see a valley, covered with bones in blue All the brave soldiers that cannot get older been askin' after you Hear the past a callin', from Armegeddon's side When everyone's talkin' and noone is listenin', how can we decide? (Do we) find the cost of freedom, buried in the ground Mother earth will swallow you, lay your body down Find the cost of freedom, buried in the ground Mother earth will swallow you, lay your body down (Find the cost of freedom buried in the ground)

• Breathe Me by Sia. What Hurts the Most by Rascal Flatts. Run by Snow Patrol. (There is no music video, so I found one someone made with clips from ABC's Lost.) In Christ Alone. (Music video with clips from Passion of the Christ.)
• Outside Of Town, by The Geraldine Fibbers. That song is the very definition of desperate, intense emotional breakdown. "I'm drownded in sorrow I'm drownded in scorn I knew I'd end this way since the day I was born I've never known nothing 'cept hunger and fear And the love that you gave me was lies to keep me near In a field of new grass you first lay me down I met you there baby, just outside of town A fool I have lived, and a fool I will die But you'll go to the devil for making me cry 'You smile so sweetly' my momma would say "But you're wicked my little girl" "When death comes to heaven you never will go" Til then I will love you Til then... Your hands they offend me They pull me apart Your eyes they can burn, oh right through my heart I'm ruined for love and I'm ruined for life I'll never be nothing I'm ready to go I know that I'm damned And I know that I'm lost But I'll take my revenge whatever the cost Please tell the angels to turn their pretty heads I can't bear them to see me when I kill you dead Please tell my momma my heart it was broke At a very young age of this we never spoke Tell her the man she loves is going cold in the ground And her only baby is hanging outside of town. 'You smile so sweetly' my momma would say "But you're wicked my little girl" "When death comes to heaven you never will go" Til then I will love you Til then..." Truly heartwrenching, and it fits word "Intense" better than just about any other song I've ever heard.
• Closer - Nine Inch Nails otherwise known as "I wanna [make love to] you like a [teddy bear]. I'm thinking of using it as my first dance wedding song.
• Michael Picasso by Ian Hunter. Song is about the death of his best friend, guitarist Mick Ronson. I've heard he rarely plays it live, too emotional. Ian Hunter - Michael Picasso Lyrics Once upon a time not so long ago people used to stand and stare at the Spider with the platinum hair they thought you were immortal We had our ups and downs like brothers often do but I was there for him he was always there for me and we were there for you How can I put into words what my heart feels? it`s the deepest thing when somebody you love dies I just wanted to give something back to you gift to gift Michael, Michael Picasso good night You used to love our house you said it was relaxing now I walk in the places you walk I talk in all the spaces you talk it still hasn`t sunk in Are the words real that come into my head on a morning walk? do the shadows play tricks with my mind? For it feels like nothing has changed but I know it has Michael, Michael Picasso good night Heal me won`t you heal me? nothing lasts forever set me free Heal me won`t you heal me? I`m the one who`s left here heal me heal me heal me You turned into a ghost surrounded by your pain and the thing that I liked the least was sitting `round Hasker Street lying about the future And we all sit in a room full of tears on a windy day and I looked out but none of these words seem right I just wanted to give something back to you gift to gift Michael, Michael Picasso good night

• Welcome Home by King Diamond(culters will know it as the song Jay and Randal taunt Elias with in Clerks 2)very loud but the content is good if you can filter out the metal shards:-)
• I by taproot. Im seeing tunnel vision in a world thats dark and cold, I cannot believe how much Ive changed since the days of old, I know, its temporary but I need to focus straight, I cannot believe I lost control of my fate, I need forgiveness from the people I truly care about, I need support behind my back to help me spit it out I am gonna win, I cant afford to blow this one, I hate myself sometimes, I love myself, I need this way of life because it holds me. I hate myself sometimes, I love myself, Contradictions the way of life Happiness is wealthyness is healthy now Ive made it through those lies and deceit, I think whats done is done and I cant complain anymore I am sure now that Ive found myself again it feels great I cannot believe I lost control of my fate, I need forgiveness from the people I truly care about, I need support behind my back to help me spit it out I am gonna win, I cant afford to blow this one, I hate myself sometimes, I love myself, I need this way of life because it holds me. I hate myself sometimes, I love Myself, Contradictions the way of life Happiness is wealthyness is healthy now. (3x) (Lyrics thanks to www.tsrocks.com-the best source for 100% accurate lyrics)
• Sister Ray by the Velvet Underground. 17 minutes of proto-punk/metal/techno bliss. John Cale and Lou Reed attempt to grind each other instrument out with loudness (a vauxhall organ and an electric guitar).
• Tears In Heaven by Eric Clapton. I can't even begin to imagine how he must feel every time he sings that song. And the pain and love he must have felt while writing it must have been truly agonising
• "I Hope You Had the Time of Your Life" by Green Day. Due to the circumstances in which I first heard this song made, it is the most intense sond I have ever heard. To this day, when I hear it, I still have intense feeling of sorrow and loss. This song was played at the funeral of a 16 year old girl who was tragically killed in an automobile accident. The accident also claimed the life of another young girl, who was 17. Both girls were school friends of my youngest daughter. This was a loss that was felt by our entire community. "So take the photographs and still frames in your mind. Hang it on a shelf In good health and good time. Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial. For what it's worth, it was worth all the while. It's something unpredictable but in the end it's right. I hope you had the time of your life."
• Headstrong, by Trapt.
• "Mississippi Goddam" Nina Simone. Look, I know you're probably not into Jazz; but make an effort to listen to this song by this singer. You'll thank me.
• Okay, I still know that you may not be into jazz--but here's two more by the great Lady Day, Billie Holiday. Talk about intense: "Gloomy Sunday", by Billie Holiday; so sad that people were reported to have committed suicide after listening to it. "Strange Fruit" as sung by Billie Holiday: "Strange Fruit" began as a poem about the lynching of a black man written by a Jewish schoolteacher from the Bronx, Abel Meeropol.

• Blue Valentine by Tom Waits
• I'm not sure about this being THE most intense.. But, I do know that in one live version of it, I got goosebumps the first couple times I heard it, but maybe that's just because I'm very good at picturing things in my mind, and being part Native American has something to do with it too I'm sure as I think about it. It's a Dave Matthews Band song called "Don't Drink The Water", it's about Native Americans getting pushed off of their land, slaughtered, and fucked over basically. It's sung as if it were a white man saying this to the Natives. Though the "Don't drink the water part" at the end could basically be seen as a Native telling that to others/his family/etc. Here's the Lyrics: Come out, come out, no use in hiding Come now, come now, can you not see? There's no place here, what were you expecting? No room for both, just room for me So you will lay your arms down Yes I will call this home Away, away you have been banished Your land is gone, and given to me And here I will spread my wings Yes I will call this home What's this you say? You feel the right to remain? Then stay - I will BURY YOU! What's this you say? Your father's spirit still lives in this place? Well I will SILENCE YOU! Here's the hitch, your horse is leaving, Don't miss your boat [[the word may be "Bow", it's arguable]], it's leaving now And as you go I will spread my wings Yes I will call this home I have no time to justify to you Fool you're blind, move aside for me Well all I can say to you, my new neighbor Is you must move on, or I will BURY YOU! [chanting] Now as I rest my feet by this fire Those hands once warmed here? Well I have retired them I can breathe my own air And I can sleep more soundly Upon these pour souls I'll build heaven and call it home 'CAUSE YOU'RE ALL DEAD NOW! And I live with my justice And I live with my greedy need Oh I live with no mercy And I live with my frenzied feeding And I live with my hatred And I live with my jealousy Oh I live with the notion That I don't need anyone but me Don't drink the water Don't drink the water There's blood in the water Don't drink the water Don't drink the water Don't drink the water There's blood in the water Don't drink the water There' blood in the water
