It sounds like it could be as simple as a loose wire that makes a connection when you tap the TV. If that's all it is, it's worth fixing. Ask a repairman to find the prob and tell you what it will cost to fix it before he does anything.

My SANYO 26 inch flat screen TV was taking one hour for the picture to come on, now I get no picture but sound is normal. Is this worth fixing?

Westinghouse SK19H210S TV. I get HDTV channels fine, but for regular cable TV channels all I get is the sound while the screen stays pink. This happens even after I do Analog TV Quick Setup and Advanced Setup scans. Ideas for how to get Analog TV video?

You're reading I have a 32" Toshiba tube television. The picture doesn't come on when you turn on the television but if you tap the side of it it comes on. What is causing this and what needs to be replaced? Is it worth fixing?
