My bank account balance was $10.93 with no pending charges. I do not keep up with it except for online. I used it for $8 & $2.17. My ending balance was $.76 and suddenly I have 3 overdraft fees. Is there anything I can do? It never showed to be negative.

did you use an ATM? some charge fees. Some banks charge a service fee for accounts that are either below a minimum level or under a certain activity level. My bank charges an additional $2 per month if I don't have direct deposit for my paycheck, why should that matter to them?! Too bad about the overdraft fees, ouch! Perhaps if you talk to them you can get them removed. They do that sometimes.

You probably had a Service Charge or Maintenance Fee that brought your balance to a negative/overdrawn

Go visit your bank officer. Take your checkbook with you and be prepared to show the officer your concerns. Most of the time, banks will redeposit the fees, if you are a stable customer and a mistake has been made. This may happen only once, so keep a good tab on your check register.
