MONEY, then I could save up and do what I want, WITH money.

i would find a job that is more heart desired than with a lot of money and is a misserable job. I will try to balance that by finding a job that will support my family but is something i love to do everyday. I want to become a teacher and am working on that, i know i will make little money but it will make me happy and it is enough to support my family and a job that i will be able to spend time with them, especially during the summer and the winter hollidays. Spending time with my family is more important than money.

I can honestly answer this question. This was a choice i had to make back in 1965. i was in the music business in Nashville. i was making great money(for the 60s), but as everyone knows, playing music generally has no benefits and really no future. One day, after college, i met the road of destiny. the split, where i had to make a decision of continuing the music or an occupation that was solid and had great benefits. the music paid great, the profession i chose, paid a very meager salary, but had great benefits. I went into law enforcement. i thought my first love was the music, until i graduated the police academy and was first pinned by my wife. she placed my very first badge on my police uniform. something happened that day, that i cannot explain. it was like, this is your destiny and always will be. it has been for 41 years. So you see, making a lot of money is not all a job is cracked up to be. a person has to be happy with their job and feel that they are contributing something to society. Each day, i wake up and look forward to going to work. thats not bad after 41 years. A heart-desired job, in the long run, will give you more satisfaction not only in yourself, but you and your wife or girlfriend will see the happiness in you and it will spread to your family.
