I tried it with the largest grate side on my grater. Didn't come out as large and cooked faster.
My German grandmother used to rub the dough between her hands and it would break up into small pieces and drop into the boiling water. No one in our family can duplicate her skill at this. We didn't get the exact recipe and now she's gone. If anyone has used this method and has a recipe, Iwould appreciate hearing about it. Thx

I heard about this Cooking myth about if you turn up the heat while the pan/pot is hot, it cooks faster. Is this true or...?
