Is there a cause for dishonesty? It seems so easy to be honest for some yet impossible for others.

No, there is never a reason for dishonesty. In the end it will always hurt worse then the truth.

It appears to me that there doesn't seem to be a big downside to dishonesty these days. As one who, for whatever reason, seems to be incapable of dishonesty of any magnitude, I sometimes feel as though I am swimming in a sea of dishonesty, barely able to stay afloat.
