Major glitch that they've been promising to fix for quite some time now. I rarely bother trying anymore. I just post links to pictures. Quicker and far less aggravating.

only 20 times and it worked? Hey good for you! I couldn't get it to work to save my life. I tried several different times/answers, and it just did not work, forcing me to do something i don't like to do, give up.

It really is most annoying I do not think I have been able to load photos properly for about 9 months.
I actually got one to stick on the 5th attempt tonight.

Sometimes the object you are trying to load may be really big (in digital size) and maybe AB has to re-size it. If you ever load a picture to Craigslist.org you sometimes have to make it smaller first and change the format - to jpeg for example. That could be part of the problem with AB also but it comes across as a glitch because AB doesn't get it sized right quickly. Just a guess.
