Help answer this question below.
1) CTS Sensor bad(located in back of engine block on left side if you face engine from drivers side front fender). 2) Thermostate bad (located on side of block below air compressor. One piece unit with two bolts),3) waterpump bad . Also if ac freon is low it will cause the fan not to come on. Last of all electronic brain acting up. I got tire of playing with this problem so i put on a separate fan control to turn the fan on!!!! By passed the factory one!!!! I talked to a saturn mechanic i know he clued me in on the ac affect the fan control. Ive been a mechanic over 35 years n never heard of this before.
The sensor is where I would start.
Will an A/C work if the heater core is broken?

You're reading MY 1996 SATURN SL2 THE RADIATOR FAN ONLY COMES ON WHEN MY AIR CONDITIONING IS ON OTHER WISE IT WILL NOT COME ON COULD IT BE THE ENGINE TEMP COOLING SENSOR
