Just maintain a regular dental cleaning by brushing your teeth, floss once a day... Also use listerine mouthwash:)

G'day 0o-nicole-o0, Thank you for your question. Bad breath can have a number of causes. However, chronic bad breath is caused by a condition called halitosis. It is caused by a wide variety of bacteria. Ways of overcoming it are brushing regularly and breath mints. You should brush your teeth regularly and visit your dentist regularly. Watch your consumption of food and drinks such as alcohol, coffee, garlic and onions which lead to bad breath. Use a fluoride mouth rinse. I have attached sources for your reference. The best and easiest is some good old fashion teeth brushing. In most cases bad breath is caused by bacteria and decomposing food particles in the mouth. It might take more than just a day of twice a day teeth brushing. Flossing would probably help as well I believe once a day is recommended. Gum and mints are usually only decent temporary fixes. When brushing you could also try going past just brushing your teeth but the roof of your mouth and the sides, my dentist told me once that this can go a long way as well in cleaning up bad breath.

flossing, believe it or not, can play a major role in bad breath, even if you have brushed your teeth, so floss and brush your teeth and your tongue. it works.

Floss

Floss. Brush with a good electric brush for 2 minutes twice per day. Visit the dentist and dental hygienist Not 'one of the above'. Do all three.

Keep drinking water.

Floss. have your teeth cleaned twice a year

Make sure you drink lots of water and eat fruit such as apples and apricots. Also don't breath with your motuh open ! Too much air into the mouth drys it out causing bad breath, thats why when you wake up in the morning you don't smell the best ! lol =)

put a bit of stainless steel in your mouth, it attracts all the bacteria

My daughter had dragon breath a lot, even after brushing and flossing. She now rinses her mouth every morning with a little dixie cup that has half warm water and half hydrogen peroxide (it comes in a brown bottle and its about 69 cents) An oral surgeon told her to do it. I also do it myself. It tastes nasty but it works great for people who seem to get icky breath even though they brush daily. Also, our dentists tell us we have less to NO placque and tarter as well. A bonus, we have really white teeth and its perfectly safe to use. We have both done it for about 7 years now. No more dragon breath ! Give it a try. Its cheap. The bubbles it produces make oxygen in your mouth and that kills certain bacteria that hate oxygen.
