You are not a kid now! or The 'good old days' is a subjective notion, and the times I'm having now will be 'good old days' in the future.

A few times when I was in my early 20's I'd be talking about something that happened when I was young, and I'd say "When I was a kid" and more than once people I was talking to would scoff and say "You ARE a kid!" - pissed me off.

Id say ' You wernt born you were hatched' or 'In the good old days you couldnt even see any colours on your 3" tv with like 1 channel, and it weighed a ton!"
