Shoot yeah!
I already eat the flesh of animals, in addition to that of plants.
And if you consider those items to be "gross", consider what is required for "organic fertilizer" to raise "organic foods".
The problem is that our modern society had become so realistically sterilized in our outlook on the natural world that such things as this really surprise them then they hear about it.
Does that mean if the prescribed amount of insect fragments or fly eggs are not in the sample, they add them to meet the standard?
Maybe I can sue if there aren't enough fly eggs in my Hershey's bar.
Since they moved to Mexico from Hershey, Pa., having the required amount of contamination shouldn't be a problem.

Have a lick!
Considering what I 'ate' as a kid growing up (back when we did not have to wear helmets with tricycles or knee and elbow pads with rollerskates) I don't honestly have a problem with it.
I also do not blindly read that particular bit of 'information' and accept it as is. Add to it this bit of information: "It is incorrect to assume that because the FDA has an established defect action level for a food commodity, the food manufacturer need only stay just below that level. The defect levels do no represent an average of the defects that occur in any of the products--the averages are actually much lower. The levels represent limits at which FDA will regard the food product "adulterated"; and subject to enforcement action under Section 402(a)(3) of the Food, Drug, and Cosmetics Act." before you blindly assume things.
Also, if all chocolate and tomato sauce HAD as much 'filth' in it as you make it sound with that, then sales would drop. Sales dropping means businesses fail.
Show me anything made, not in a sterile environment, that is absolutely free of contamination of any kind. Bet you can't. Not even your OWN produce, grown by you in a garden, cleaned by you, and cooked by you, would be any better. Fact of life.
hummmm ----they must have found a natural cure in chocolate and tomoto sauce , and are trying to discredit those 2 items now . we will now see them taken off the market and made into a pill at $40 a pop. ---- stock up now , it cures something ! ;-)
If that is accepted the FDA is not protecting the citizens at all. They have about as much regulations as 3rd world nations. It is insane what they let into the food supply.
Why oh why judge! It can't be!!!
Yum...yea those allowed filth limits can turn your gut....don't even want to think about canned tuna.......bug parts...hairs....bleeeeccccchhhh..
Ewwwwww....I'm OK with it as long as I don't know about it
EXCUSE Me!! I'll be right back...Oh, I got sick! I have eaten both of those just today!

You're reading The FDA states that chocolate can have up to 60 insect fragments per 100 grams, and tomato sauce can contain 30 fly eggs per 100 grams; you OK with that?
