Click Microsoft Office button...top left.
Click Proofing
Click Auto-correct
Make sure "Replace text as you type" checkbox is checked.
in the REPLACE window type the typically misspelled word or abbreviation.
In the WITH window type the correct spelling or the "spellout" of the abbreviation.
Select the ADD button

You're reading I am using Word 2007 and am attempting to find a feature in it that was in the earlier versions. The feature allows you to either type in an abbreviation and Word will expand it. Another is similar to the dictionary feature to auto-correct your words.?
