Noise pollution is noise pollution no matter what the source is. Allowances could be made for special celebrations such as feast days, just as they make special allowances for open air concerts etc.

What would you classify as a "loud religious noise"? Church bells chiming the hour? Or angels singing? And suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying: "Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests." (Luke 2:13-14) And why are you segregating "loud religious noise" from "loud irreligious noise" and "loud atheistic noise"? With love in Christ.

Nah, no more so than trains or loud machinery, there are many things that are loud, that doesn't mean we should throw a fit and find a reason to quiet everything down. I think that, if it is so loud that there is a public outcry, then yes, it should be, but if the general public is okay with it...let it go.
