If you could go back in time and have a heart to heart talk with your younger self at a time when you were at your lowest point, what would you say? What words of encouragement would you give?

Residency training is only three years. It will get better after that, I promise. The light at the end of the tunnel isn't always a Metroliner.

Don't you pick up that cigarette! You WILL get addicted and you won't have the strength to quit! And you need to go to class and get an education, get out of this room and start living! That will take the depression away better than that cigarette...FOOL! lol

I don't think I'd even bother. I think my younger self would think I was a nutter and off to the loony bin I'd go.
