Help answer this question below.

Do most school truants skip school to form gangs or 'street gangs'? what is the difference between a street gang and a gang? are they the same thing? what is the POINT to these gangs? why do they exist?

    I don't think you understand gangs...There are many different types, even a school clique is a gang. A gang is made up of drug/other dealers who want to stay safe from there compotition and not be beatin up so they join together and become stronger while doing it. Gangs are around because the status quo doesnt care about the kids as much today and because of poverty, when you are bored in life thats the time to join a gang-Its fun for awhile.....Amor De Rey360!!!

    no. usually kids that ditch school are just uninterested with school and they just get other kids or friends to tag along. gangs are only form because that particualar kid looks for the gangs because they see power through numbers, if they happen to be truent kids, and they in turn get more kids into gangs is because they see that instead of school there could be something meaningful.
