No. Im far too scared. I think if you tell them to do "whatever they want" they take advantage of the situation. lol

Nope: it took about 6 years between trims to get it to grow about halfway down my back from being chopped at the shoulders! I like it long!

No I want my imput to matter they do not have to get up in the morning and do my hair so I need a style that works for me not them. I seen a guy on bravo the other night that was like that he did not ask the lady want she wanted just did it.

Yes, if i was looking for a major change of style, i would let the hairdresser be creative. It grows back, after all.
-
I wouldn't be too worried; I don't think that I exude overly strong mod vibes or anything.

every time i see Julie my stylist i sit in her chair and let her do as she wants. for my grad she cut and colored and did all kinds of stuff to my hair and i knew my grad was in 2 hours so i had to go with it.

I would. Not right before my wedding or any large event like that where I want to look a certain way - but in general, yes. I actually was going to do that a few months ago.. my boyfriend met this hair stylist through his work, and she worked at this fancy-pants salon in San Francisco. She told him to bring me in and she'd give me a "new look" if I wanted. Our schedules were so hectic, that we never had a chance to get down there and do it. I had long hair at the time - so she would have had lots of choices. I wanted something different. Shorter, different colors, whatever. I'm really disappointed that it never happened.

Yeah, why not! I've had my hair very long as it is now and very short like when I was younger. It's been blonde, black (goth phase), and red. It's just hair, it'll grow back!

Nope, you would have to pay me a few hundred dollars to do something like that. Because if I didn't like it, I would need to get a wig.
