Buy a new tv.
Buy a new TV, these POS's are made to break so you have to buy a new one all the time.
There are ways to insure longevity, do not move it too much, do not bang it or drop it and make sure you have a stable AC voltage. I would definitely at least have a surge protector on the AC line to the wall. If you have issues then there are line regulators to make sure you have the correct voltage and even 10,000 bucks insurance if your device fails while using their product.
I used to have sound systems I would rent out with my services and one of those devices from Tripplite saved $3000 worth of sound equipment, it blew out and they sent me a new one for free.
Mine also started switching itself off. I bought a Rank Arena; then a Philips (both 27", on special) because they are reliable, as is Sony (overpriced). Basically, your warranty has expired, so either get a TV repair guy in, or, just about as cheap these days; get a new TV.
I have a really old (1988) Magnavox TV, model CH3930 BL. This set requires you to tune each channel and select a channel number to display, before you can use the UP and DOWN channel selector buttons on the user panel. Does anyone have a user guide?

I have a 2001 55 inch Magnavox model number 55p8288. The TV has an orange tint to it, it looks like a black and white tv but instead of white it is orange. Any suggestions on what the problem might be and how to fix it would be great.

You're reading I have a 3 year old 27" Magnavox tv and when I turn it on the sound is fine but the screen in white with thin black lines. It stays on for about 10 seconds and then turns itself off. What do I need to do?
