Why will Congress not be required to participate in the health care system that the rest of us will be required to participate in?

Why would they give up the great tax payer funded health care they have now. I guaranty your going to have a few politicians who make a show of using the regular people health care. How much you want to bet they will make it seem like its the greatest thing since oxygen

You have been drinking the Republican kool-aid. You will NOT be required to participate in any public health insurance plan.

First off, NO ONE will be 'required' to participate in the reformed health care system that is being proposed. Second off, Obama's original plan was to OPEN UP the Congressional health care plan to EVERYONE. Let ANYONE who wanted to benefit from the same health care Congress gets do so. It's the Republicans that stopped that idea.

i haven't come across any health care reform plans that require you to participate in any thing, although i think that president obama's plan does call for a 2% fine for the uninsured. congress' health care plans remain untouched. if you want to change their plan choices, research their options and write a letter to your congressperson and senators.
