cotton swab soaked with hot water. +5
I hold the q-tip very close to the cleaning end. with your fingers so close to your ears, it's nearly impossible to make a mistake and hurt yourself.
There's an earwax removal solution you can by over the counter. Put it in your ear and put a cotton ball in overnight. The next morning, take out the cotton ball and flush out your ear with that blue squirty thing that you suck out a newborns nose with (sorry I don't know what it's called. Anyway, tilt your head down sideways and shoot a stream of warm water into your ear and all the wax and gunk will come out. Its what the doctors office did for me and I couldn't believe how much was in there. Its impossible to get it all out with a swab. You'll only push it in further.
I wash them properly I do not push items down my ears
Periodically I have candle therapy.
