    No. Engineers need to communicate and see what they are working on. Neither can be achieved in a cubicle.

    No. I have worked as a software engineer for thirty years, and was startled when I visited a huge electronics firm to see a Dilbert-style "cube farm". I think they have only ever been popular in America, and mostly went out by the mid-nineties.

    engineer is Terminator

    Most Programmers do,but engineers have a lot of extended work place.They have to visit the site of work.In profession like Civil,Electrical and Mechanical engineering,people hardly get anytime to go to their cubicles.
