I am not all impressed with terrorist however when the rules of what a terrorist represent a party espeically the minority party I take pause in what is acatully happening.

It depends what you mean by 'respect'. If you mean respect in terms of recognizing that they are can be dedicated to their cause, capable of complex planning, and can carry out those plans with expertise, then YES. If you mean respect in the sense that what they do is in any way morally acceptable, then NO.

No way, terrorists fight undercover as civilians. They first came up by the Franc tireurs in 1870 at the war between Germany and France and this invention had an extreme success. Totally against the Geneva convention and totally against the league of The Hague these people were not only encouraged but supported. Against the German forces it was of courser completely okay but after WW II all those who were supporting this kind of forces had the same development in their colonies. It was before all of them the British and french who had to face a development in their colonies of the same type they were supporting against the Germans and especially the French for example in Algeria or Indochina reacted the very same way as the Germans in France and we know from the Vietnam war about My Lai which was only a single village and happened much more often. The Russians who supported an extreme fight behind the lines by civilians got their lesson in Afghanistan. The attempt to make a war a little bit more human in a system of inhumanity completely failed and terrorism is the new way of fight which is harder and more complicated to prevent than anything else. Finally the civilians are involved into these things if they want or not and that is one of reasons why a military of the old systems has to fail if you like it or not. Terrorists play nothing but a very dirty game.
