That is what happens when celebrities use their status to express political or controversial views that a particular audience might find offensive. If the egoist Madonna is so righteous in her opinions, she and her group should accept the fallout. That is not to say her opinion was not right. But however talented she may be, Madonna is hardly one who has led an exemplary, moral life.

I think they're trying their best to take the moral high road on this (unlike Madonna), and not belittle or defame a fellow musician. I've lost little in the way of respect for Madonna, since I never had that much respect for her to begin with. This is an exemplary case of ego overshadowing education. If a famous person, with little or no basic knowlege of a subject, wants to speak, I say let them. It clears the entertaiment gene pool. Here - use my rope. +5
