I left my purse at a gas station once and then got on a ferry... so i couldn't go back for 4 hours! It wasn't there anymore but they told me they brought it to the police station. I went and picked it up and the only things missing were my ipod, and some gift certificates!! They didn't take my credit cards! Of course, as soon as I realized I didn't have my purse anymore I called an cancelled them so they wouldn't have been able to use them anyway!
But yes - the bank re-issued them with no hassle. The new cards came in the mail.

With fees for debit cards comming, why not switch back to writing checks? Isn't debit cards a convenience for banks more than us?

I was just happy to get all the other stuff back! I had perscription sunglasses in there worth over $400. :)
