I am not sure if this bike is the fastest but it certainly isn't slow, it is the Dodge Tomahawk. it has a 8.3-Liter, OHV, 20-Valve SMPI V-10 capable of putting out over 500 hp. the top speed is 420 mph, so it has to be at least one of the fastest if not THE fastest

I'd never heard of the Dodge Tomohawk until now, but it does seem to be a concept bike rather than a mass produced one although it is a bit of an animal :) Presently as far as I am aware the current fastest "mass produced" bike (i.e. you can go and buy it today) is the Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa for Top-End speed and i think your looking at the Suzuki GSXR1000 or Yahama R1 for acceleration.

The Tomahawk is definitely not a production motorcycle, it's a one off showpiece and will not be going into production. Also, it handles atrociously and would be totally impractable for day to day riding, including the fact that it would need an enormous fuel tank if it were to have any practical range. The fastest production motorcycle is still the Suzuki GSX 1300 R, also known as the Hayabusa, which has a top speed of 194mph. Kawasaki also make a ZX-12R sports bike with a little more grunt than the Hayabusa, but the Suzuki still tops out faster thanks to slick aerodynamics. http://www.motorpoint.com.au/suzukigsx1300r.asp There are many 1 litre class Superbikes however, such as the Suzuki GSX 1000 R, Yamaha R1, Kawasaki ZX 10 R, MV Agusta F4 1000, Honda CBR 1000 RR etc and even 600cc Supersports models that would beat the Hayabusa around a race track or twisty road circuit, due to their smaller size and lighter weight. Also, the Japanese motorcycle makers, who every year come up with even lighter bikes with ever more horsepower, have now signed a gentleman's agreement to not exceed 189mph. So, though the new 1000cc bikes are rapidly approaching the HP and torque figures of the Hayabusa, due to speed limiting the 'Busa will still be king for quite some time.

Right now, the quickest stock production is the Kawasaki ZX14. Quicker than the Hayabusa. Since everything now is speed limited to 186mph, the fastest would be mote. Unrestricted, the ZX14 is faster.

Yeah, the Tomohawk is FAST, but try to turn it. You ever heard of the Y2K? It's got a helecopter turbine on it, it' a one speed tranny, and is super fast. Jay Leno has one in his collection. There in the 275k range.

My 07 R-1 will go over 190 stock

The Fastest Stock Production Motorcycle is the 2008 Kawasaki ZX14. The 2008 Suzuki Hyabusa is a close second.

Sorry fella's the new MV Augusta's taken the crown it's called the "F4 CC"

I've been 204mph on a stock 2000 Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R. They limit the speed to 186mph on the later models, so if you want the fastest stock bike (without modifying the chip), you have to get an older bike. You can get one for about $6000 these days.

Due to the aerodynamics styling, 08 busa is quicker than 08 ZX-14

According to some looking around i did the competion between the 2008 Kawasaki ZX14 and the 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa is so close that i wouldn't say either was faster than the other until the 186 mph restrictions were removed. In a quarter mile drag race. The Hayabusa edged out the ZX14 by one one hundreth of a second. Which isn't much of a conclusion where as it could be something as simple as rider error and not being 100 percent consistant. Like one other person said on here there would be stock bikes the will go faster but they would have to pre-date the 186 mph restriction.

Not necessarily untimely.

I seriously doubt you went 204 on your Busa if it is stock...The fastest Busa was the 1999, which was clocked at 194. The pre-production ZX-12R was clocked at 198 in Japan, but was de-tuned under the threat of being banned by some European countries...When it was released in 2000 it was slower than it was intended to be. This is well known among sportbike enthusiasts. And since 2001 they all have been limited to 186 or so...So technically if you want to get picky the ZX-12R could have been the fastest if it were released in its original form....Even the later Busas weren't as fast as the 1999...
