Help answer this question below.
I read somewhere (and can't remember where) that the necklace was a gift from actress Marion Lorne, who played her bumbling and forgetful "Aunt Clara" on the series.
In real life, Marion & Elizabeth were the very best of friends, and Elizabeth often looked up to her as both a mentor and as a real "aunt" figure.
When Marion died in 1968, just 10 days before she was to be presented with an Emmy® award, Elizabeth accepted the award in her behalf.

Was from her husband, William Asher, not Marion Lorne.

Incorrect on Marion Lorne giving it to her. Her husband gave it to her as a love gift. The first neckace(which she lost) was real diamonds. She had 2 made after that(done in rhinestones) in case she lost one. Read more at www.bewitched.net.
