Help answer this question below.

A man is against spanking children and tells his wife not to spank their child but when he sees his wife spanking their child he quickly beats his wife up and the woman starts crying then the man asks his child did ur mom hurt u what is your view on this

    He has double standards and rob the authority of mother and himself, that child may think now he or she rule things. Personally he should be in prison. The mother probadly need counseling. I would need to know why the child was spanked in the first place to give an opinion.

    I believe that using violence to solve problems is wrong. I think that the man should not have hit his wife in order to solve this problem.

    That said, the wife should not have been assaulting the child. I can tell you now, if I was married with kids, and my spouse started assaulting my child, I would do a heck of a lot to stop him, and my behaviour might possibly end up becoming violent if he didn't stop.

    This situation you describe is complex. I don't believe that I, or anyone, can give an absolute here without knowing all of the facts, and the background behind this.

    The man is a big hyrpocrite if he tells the wife not to physically abuse their kids, but then HE does so to HER, for no matter the reason. And the children are witness to it.

    He may not wish to spank the child for a couple of reasons: 1) If it's his SON. Some men feel their sons don't need the discipline their daughters do. 2) He may know he's too violent, and would REALLY beat his child, as he did his wife.

    Now, since he beat his wife up, he's an abuser. That may be the first and only time he HAS ever done it, but it shows he has the propensity to.

    It's quite obvious, to me, that he needs some anger management, and she MAY, too, depending on how and how hard she was spanking the child.

    At this point, she SHOULD consider leaving the husband until they've both had both anger management and family counseling. And HE needs to consider leaving on his own.

    He is a weak man to beat his wife. He should have just talk to her about quite possible the spanking was justified.What he did was wrong.

    Whether man or woman, some people have trouble with spanking. It seems odd in our society because most people are not that concerned if it is done privately and not carried to excess.

    God only knows I got my share growing up. I hated it when I got my butt beat with my mom's hairbrush. Looking back, I usually deserved it. Because both of my parents thought the same way, I knew there was no way of getting out of them. It was just part of growing up.

    For any discipline to be effective, both parents have to be in agreement. If they're not, then problems are going to develop because the kid is going to learn that he or she can pit one parent against the other. When this happens, whether or not to spank the kid will be the least of the parents' worries.

    Violence in any form is wrong. No, spanking is not what I consider violence so I am talking about the man here. The child belongs to both parents and an agreement must be made. The answer in this case is simple. The mother leaves the abusive relationhip after reporting the incident to the police and having him locked away. Let the law handle it because it is an easy open and shut case.

    well he is an abuser(controlling coward spineless man)take your kids and leave.parents must back each other in front of kids you can talk about differences privately if your partner is a man(yours is not)if he was not an abuser and still argued about a spanking go visit mom for 2 weeks and leave the kids with him,maybe big surprise when you get back.lol anyway to stay and live with physical abuse is a no no and what will it teach your kids that its fine to beat your wife or fine for a husband to beat your daughter,so kick him to the curb where he can sort himself out,all the best.
