- NEW!
Help answer this question below.
Yes in the main. The first thing I do each evening is make sure I have checked and answered all my feedback .
When I get a new answer to an old question I check right through to see if anything has been missed. It is easy for some answers to slip through if you are off for a while.
Yes. Is there any other way other than those stupid emails?
sure do, and look forward to the orange light coming on. lol
Yes, I do. I also know that they only show a few (if more than one) answer in a given batch there, and through email. I believe they believe you will rely on your comments and ratings in your feedback, to be taken back to the question, and check all your answers. Problem would be for those who turn off their ratings so they don't have to see/deal with DRs.
I use the date sort (just under the question box), and either sort it with the most recent first or last, then start there (first or last) until I run into those I've already responded to.
Something else to remember: If you have that question page open when you get new comments/ratings/answers, it will turn off the NEW flag on your feedback. So, that's another reason to go through them all, and close the question... So you get that NEW flag! ;-)
I use my feedback page too. But I've noticed that it doesn't show all of them.
Yes, I don't like getting spammed with e-mails from answerbag, so I use the feedback page...
yes and email alerts. +5
yes, is there another way other than email?
That's the only way I find out if I have responses, as I don't get e-mail notifications.

ABsolutley. I check my feedback after signing in and before signing off for the day.
I always check the "feedback"
Yes, I do. However, I am often disappointed that I don't receive even a comment on my work. That said - it still is an enjoyable way to pass a little time and a very inexpensive hobby.
Yes and sometimes I get so many I have to check my questions on my personal page to see what's up.
Yes,I do.I usually "read all answers" to make sure there aren`t more new ones, that I might have missed.Don`t like all those e-mails.They seem unnecesary.

When you answer a question, do you expect a comment back from the asker? Or for the asker to like your comment?

You're reading Do you rely on your AB profile "feedback" section to let you know when people have answered your questions, or left you comments?

Thanks, Firebrand. I do the same, with my old questions. However, I have found that Feedback does not always issue a notification, so it is best (for me) to take the initiative to re-visit old questions on a regular basis. :-)

That is true and very difficult now we only get 5 pages of feedback. Even if you are only off one or two days you can lose feedback. When I take 3/4 months off I find that months later I am still finding stuff I should have answered .That is why I put a note on my profile.

Ah, excellent idea, Firebrand! Thanks for sharing that. I will have to stop by and re-visit your profile. I had never thought of placing a note on my profile; that is a graceful way to handle it. :-)

I do not have much of a profile. I only put bits on there this year because people still thought I was a guy.:)
